OUR HOMETOWN

narrated by Linda Steele

LEETONIA OHIO

Leetonia is a small town in northeastern Ohio.  After the coke ovens were closed down during the Depression, Leetonia almost became a ghost town.  We remain a small, quiet community of about 2600 residents and we still have no stoplights.  We are basically surrounded by farm land.  I grew up about 5 miles south of town on my grandparents homestead.  Husband, Gary, was a city boy.  He has lived in the village limits all his life.
