The Coke Ovens

Coke Ovens Arboretum 
Leetonia Ohio was once a booming town.  The coke ovens were opened in 1866 and was one of the largest operations of it's kind in the nation.  As with much of the country, the Great Depression closed it down in 1930.  In 1999, the received an Ohio Historical Marker and it's remains is  one of Leetonia's reminders of the boom days.
