First Class Petty Officer Bob Hopton,
Son of Anne and Herb Dattillio of Salem, OH
Shown aboard the USS Roosevelt, holding the flag that was raised
by firemen over the WTC rubble on September 11, 2001.
The flag is signed by Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Governor George
Pataki.

Bob's step father, Herb, was a classmate of Linda
& Gary Steele, Leetonia Class of 1964. Herb is also the
uncle of the Steele's next door neighbor, Richard Shar.
Rich's 40th birthday is the 24th and Linda's ?? on
the 25th. On September 23, 2001, we had a yard party and
celebrated their birthdays. The next day, Herb suffered a
heart attack and it was only one week later when Bob was flown home
for his step father's funeral. |
