Leetonia Fire Department History

The earliest known record of the Leetonia Fire Department dates back to the fourteenth day of May 1890. Certificate of Membership certifies that the Independent Hose Company of Leetonia, Ohio is a member of the Noth Eastern Ohio Volunteer Firemen's Association.

In 1996, Leetonia received a certificate recognition from the Ohio State Firefighters' Association for their continuous 45 year membership. The Leetonia Department was the 43rd firefighters company to become members of the Ohio State Firefighters Association.

Today the Leetonia Fire Department is located at 330 Main Street and has 25 members.
